That's What Defense Do.

This afternoon we were playing outside with the neighbors. The four-year-old boy who lives across the street has been in love with football ever since his family started going to the friday night high school football games.

Now when we play outside, instead of riding bikes, he throws a football around with whoever will stand still. Today during his daily game, he was throwing the ball around on the driveway, when he fell, tripped, and landed face first on the driveway.

His mom, Heather hopped up and ran to him. It was a bad fall.....face first on cement. His older sister had jsut done the same thing a few minutes earlier, and had come up screaming and crying.

She gathered up her kids and decided to head inside since they were both scraped up. Dyjea stopped, looked up at his mom and said he was fine. "You want to play more," she asked. "Yeah," he said. "That's what defense do."
You can sort of see his scraped upper lip. He also had scrapes on his chest and knees.

Here's a picture of the day after. It shows a little better "What Defense Do."
